SWIPE BELOW FOR
SUNDAY RECAP
Ethel Cain Takes the stage on Sunday. The crowd was full of the queer girls and music lovers alike. Mother Cain is known for her impressive and heavenly vocals which were such a perfect fit for a sunny day in San Diego.
Omar Apollo came on during sunset. On the other side of the festival grounds was Yves Tumor with a meloncholy, slower vibe which is perfect for the emo girls. I LOVED the options we had for how we were feeling at the time. I personally loved being at Omar Apollo to move around a little and celebrate Mexican Success!!
THE FASHION
I always find it interesting to see all sorts of self expressing through clothes. How do you stay comfortable while looking good on a sunny day? Well! My friend Amanda Quach otherwise known as @Virghoe_xoxo on instagram is a style icon herself. With her eye and my camera, we were able to document BLEACHED fashion through a GENZ’s narrative. Here’s what we found:
Lizzy McAlpine opens up for Omar Apollo and serenades the crowd with her vocals.
Bleached fest has personally been such a chill environment. it’s for the aesthetic tiktok girlies, The skater and surfer bros. There’s a mixture of Fun mosh pit energy mixed with a mellow lets sway to the music type of energy. I loved how they co existed together to bring us bleached fest! It’s even great for those of us who want to try out and discover new music! This year I became a new SURF CURSE fan. It was such a fun set where you can just jump around and bang your head and there’s four dudes just having fun with the crowd. This being the last set of the night really made it such a great wrap up for my first time being in San Diego. I’ll definitely have to check it more of their stuff and maybe even attend a show when they stop by my hometown back in Houston because the vibes are guaranteed.
